On a seemingly never-ending quest to find a perfect website layout, I think I have finally arrived at my destination. I hope you find it as nice and easy to use as I do. I am looking forward to adding new paintings and posts, now that is so streamlined and easy thanks to Zac and Dan at FolioTwist - awesome service guys.
This week I haven't really done much painting, except on Monday morning I cornered my older daughter Nicole and made her pose for me for an abstract portrait... The child couldn't not understand where her face was, got bored with me a left. I just had to explain to her that its not finished yet. I guess I have been doing only representational work for so long that its unexpected for my family to see my work that doesn't actually look like my usual flowers and fruit.
I am also working on a painting of a swamp. I started with a very vague idea of color composition, wanting to experiment with something new, and the result doesn't quite look like what I had envisioned. I am continue, though. I think it has potential.
