What can this anxious feeling teach me?

What can this anxious feeling teach me?

Am I assuming I’m not capable of handling this? And what deeper assumption am I holding about me, my power, my ability to be real in the world, to have what I want, that makes this assumption true?

Am I assuming something bad is going to happen—or that I need to allow this bad thing to happen in order not to lose something more important to me? And what deeper assumption am I holding about me, my power, my ability to be real in the world, to have what I want, that makes this assumption true?

Am I assuming I need to control this in order to be safe, loved, empowered, or validated? And what deeper assumption am I holding about me, my power, my ability to be real in the world, to have what I want, that makes this assumption true?

Am I assuming that if I don’t get this right, it will prove something about me? What will they never see about me if I don’t “win”? And what deeper assumption am I holding about me, my power, my ability to be real in the world, to have what I want, that makes this assumption true?

Am I assuming my feelings are controlled by the external world? And what deeper assumption am I holding about me, my power, my ability to be real in the world, to have what I want, that makes this assumption true?

Your limitations, hurdles, and obstacles are real. They may not be what your mind interprets them to be, but if you have a recurring feeling, there is something going on. If you investigate that feeling, it will point you to a deeper thought layer that needs to go.

You don't have to fight for everyone to see the same truth as you, or feel crazy that what may be happening “isn’t that big of a deal”—just take your power back, inside. That is the whole purpose of recurring difficulties. Our consciousness is pointing us back to the place where we've forgotten who we are and surrendered our power.

Get out of another person’s world and get back into yours. There’s power there—to create what you want, to be the change you want to be—not because of the world or in spite of it, but because you have the power to create something new. Options that never existed will appear in front of you if you give up the most important assumptions you make about who you are.

Read the book. Do the free guided inquiry. Its a doorway to more freedom every day.
